Ruisui area, Wooden House, Rest AreaFor experienced cyclists who like a challenge, this bicycle path, located in the Ruisui area of the central part of the East Rift Valley should definitely not be missed.


This 8-kilometer long bicycle path makes use of the industrial road and small countryside roads that are already in place, and the scenery along the way is very impressive. It includes the only remaining tobacco fields, as well as tobacco buildings in various stages of disrepair. There are also sweeping corn fields. The scenery is exquisite, with a strong cultural ambiance. Furthermore, this terraced terrain frequently rises and falls, so one can look down at the zigzagging rivers and lush, green pasture fields from the highest points. The extensive field of vision contains much mountain and river scenery.


Along the bicycle path is a perfectly straight, beautiful camphor forest path. Camphor trees line both sides, with a noticeable, gentle fragrance and green shade that blocks the sky. The sunshine scatters through gaps in the leaves. The moving light and shadows, and the refreshing breeze create an incomparably leisurely and free atmosphere along this path. The whole family can take a stroll along the camphor forest paths, and enjoy the refreshing phytoncide in this green tunnel.


The bicycle path can be extended to the hot springs area and the orchard area. The hot springs bathing and the varied natural features will allow cyclists to be pleasantly surprised. Especially strong cyclists can take a water flask and backpack, set of in high spirits, and face the winds, enjoying the ride to their hearts content.

  The circuitous bicycle path passes tobacco fields, corn fields, camphor forest paths, and a hot springs area. The landscape is just like the poetical "village that suddenly appears amidst lush willows and bright flowers". However, because part of the route is less shaded, it is recommended that cyclist bring a hat or sun-hat to provide protection from the hot sun.
