Plants

Natural Phytoncidere
Due to its location between the Coastal Mountains Range to the east and the Central Mountains Range to the west, and the difference of over 2,000 meters in altitude between the valley and mountain ranges, there is an abundance of plant life in the East Rift Valley.

The plant species differ according to altitude, and there are varied plant communities. The broad-leaved evergreen forest belt is located at an altitude of around 700 to 2,000 meters. The trees found in this area include the incense machilus tree, camphor tree, and ferns.

Regardless of whether or not you are a botany expert, as you gaze at the two mountain ranges, you can still appreciate the beauty of the green mountain peaks, the spectacular waterfalls, and the boundless provision for the animals that live in this area.
