The Strongly Fragrant Township
Ruisui Township is known as the prettiest township north of the Tropic of Cancer. The entire township is agriculturally prosperous, and the Wuhe Terrace and Hegang Tea Plantations are two of the most famous tea-growing
areas in the east of the country. In recent years, Hegang pomelos have become well-known, and from the middle of August until late September, the tourist orchards are open for picking. Taiwan’s only large prehistoric stone remains can be found here, namely, the Saoba Monoliths, standing tall in the Wuhe Terrace.

If you have the opportunity to come to this township, don’t forget to come visit these stone pillars at the Wuhe Terrace, and view these prehistoric remains. Be sure to take photographs for the memory!

Ruisui Township is also famous for its white water rafting on the Xiuguluan River. During the summer white water rafting season, numerous rafts can be seen going down the rapids, and the sounds of young people laughing with joy can be heard coming from the waters. This extremely happy experience is a famous tourist resource for this township. In addition, Ruisui Pasture is open to the public, and you can come enjoy the cattle, eat the milk-based meals, and leisurely enjoy this beautiful area of mountains and water.

The bicycle path that circles the township begins from the front of Ruisui Station. It passes behind the station to the Ruixiang Hot Springs area, and goes through a green corridor along the hot springs road. For ten months out of every year, this green corridor will burst forth with colorful flowers, taking on a beautiful, new appearance during the autumn and winter. In addition, one can pass through idyllic countryside and pastoral scenery. If you feel tired from your journey, you can stop by the hot springs to enjoy a soak. This activity is suitable for the whole family!
