The East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Bureau, MOTC (hereinafter referred to as “the Administration”) hosted the “2018 Earth Fashion Show on the Runway of Yufu” at Tongli Cycling Station of Yufu Bikeway, Hualien on the 20th of this month. The host of the activity dressed in the costume designed with local elements, showing the achievements of the local fashion designer team in Hualien and Taitung. The bark clothes the local professional fashion designers provided to the host was made by vegetable fern, bird's nest fern, maidenhair fern and leaves of paper mulberry saplings and presented with the three-dimensional concept. In addition, the traditional life of Amis people, including their diet of wild plants and fishing methods, were also included, which is truly unique.    

   The activity of “the Earth Fashion Show on the Runway of Yufu for 2018” was held this year for the first time. The activity used the autumn harvest as the background, incorporated local elements with fashion, and held a professional model walk show for specially designed clothes to promote the industries and unique natural beauty of Hualien and Taitung. It was well received by those who attended the activity. We are looking forward to seeing more participants next year at the same time.
