The East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Bureau, MOTC (hereinafter referred to as “the Administration”) hosted the “2018 Earth Fashion Show on the Runway of Yufu” at Tongli Cycling Station of Yufu Bikeway, Hualien, on the 20th of this month. The host of the activity was dressed in a costume designed with local elements, showcasing the achievements of the local fashion designer teams in Hualien and Taitung. The bark clothing provided by local professional fashion designers was made from vegetable fern, bird's nest fern, maidenhair fern, and leaves of paper mulberry saplings, and was presented with a three-dimensional concept. In addition, the traditional life of the Amis people, including their diet of wild plants and fishing methods, was also featured, which is truly unique. 

The “Earth Fashion Show on the Runway of Yufu for 2018” was held for the first time this year. The activity used the autumn harvest as its backdrop, incorporated local elements with fashion, and featured a professional runway show for specially designed clothing to promote the industries and unique natural beauty of Hualien and Taitung. It was well received by those who attended. We look forward to seeing more participants next year at the same time.
