Jiaming Lake is an important wildlife habitat in Guanshan. It is also known as Angel’s Tear because of its crystal-clear water and the fact that it is surrounded by peaceful mountains. Mountain hikers love to explore Jiaming for its ecological diversity and breath-taking beautiful views. Yet since January 5, 2016, Jiaming had been closed for a full three months so that it could get some rest. It was recently reopened on April 1 according to the Administration, and hiking and overnight-stay around the lake are now possible upon prior application.
