◆ 2026 GBIYUK MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL《 𝒓𝒎𝒅𝒂𝒙|Daybreak 》◆

Light slowly awakens from the depths of the earth.
Between the cracks lie the quiet traces of life breathing anew.

In the Truku language, "𝒓𝒎𝒅𝒂𝒙" signifies dawn and the first light of morning.
Through quiet days and times of change, we remain right here,
waiting for that ray of light to pierce through the mountains and bring rebirth.

This year, GBIYUK MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL expands alongside the GAYA Art Project.
Beyond the flow of music, we are weaving in land art and immersive tribal experiences.
We warmly invite you to Tongmen Village, Hualien—to step into the embrace of the land and the community, and reconnect with one another and nature under the light of daybreak.

Top5 Highlights

Some come for the music, some pause for the art, some step into the village and mountain forests, and some, through an encounter or conversation, rediscover this land.

Because in the valley, there are still many stories waiting to be met slowly.
This year, follow our footsteps and enter the valley in five different ways.

🎵 Music Concert
From sunshine-dappled afternoon lawns to the evening stage beneath the starry sky. We’ve invited village elders, youth, mother-tongue creators, and Golden Melody Award-winning musicians to share the stage. Voices echoing across generations and cultures resound through the valley. This year features bilingual hosting (Mandarin & English), welcoming friends from afar into the valley together.

🏔️ Land Art
With "Generations Hand in Hand" as the core curatorial concept, these works are co-created across generations by artists, village elders, and youth. Every piece carries its own story, waiting for you to explore them on the grass. When passing by, don’t forget to take photos, check in, and share these warm creations with us!

🎨 Craft Workshops
Beyond treasure hunting at the market, hands-on experience lovers are in for a treat! Here, experience the joy of learning and crafting through traditional skills. You will create your own unique, one-of-a-kind piece, taking home the care and memory of this land.
(📢 Workshops require online registration and fees. Details will be announced in upcoming posts!)

🌿GAYA Experience
Centered around "GAYA," the traditional core spirit of the Truku people. Follow the footsteps of villagers to read the ethics of hunting grounds, watershed knowledge, and living crafts. Through intimate, small-group experiences, slowly learn the living wisdom embedded in GAYA.
(📢 Small-group experiences require advance online reservation. Stay tuned for opening dates!)

🛍️ Artisan Market
Not only mouth-watering tribal cuisine and special beverages, the market is also filled with handmade crafts and delicate artworks waiting for you to discover. Pick a favorite handcrafted piece and pack the warm memories of the valley back home with you.

💡More event details will be revealed soon, stay tuned!💡

Gather your friends and join us!
